What is Construction Contractors Continuing Education
Welcome - Continuing Education for the Florida Contractor
What is this subject called continuing education that we as contractors are required to accomplish before we can renew our licenses? Continuing education can be defined as the improvement of work related skills by people in the workforce.
Continuing education is both formal and informal training. In the formal setting some workers earn college degrees and even advanced degrees in construction or business management programs. This can be a full time program while the worker takes a hiatus from earning. Others attend part-time and continue working. Generally, continuing education for construction contractors are classes, seminars or online classes that focus on topics in business, safety, workmen’s compensation insurance, law or anything that generally would improve the skills of a Florida contractor to manage a construction business.
In December 1993 continuing education became required for Florida construction contractors.
